Writer’s block and resets

It probably comes as no surprise that I’ve been fighting a bit of writer’s block, among other things, the past couple of months.  With any luck, that’s breaking now and the trend of the same will continue.

I spent the weekend at the Grand Valley Renaissance Festival, hanging out with friends and selling not only my books, but some crafts as well–I’ve been doing jewelry , papercrafts, and garb for years now, and have added crochet pieces to my offerings since last year’s festival.  I was hoping that the company I’d be in and the surroundings would help crack the blocks I’ve had and wouldn’t you know it?  It seems to have worked.

With any luck, there will be a chapter of the updated version of Lost and Found coming to all of you by the end of the week, since that’s what I’ve been allowing to percolate today.  AJ’s voice is coming back to me and some of the pieces are starting to ease into place for this second draft.  We’ll see what’s to come.  I’ve already been surprised by something today and it felt good.

Wish me luck.
