Prompt for March 19, 2014 – Day 78

Another Wednesday, guys! Halfway to the end of this week.

Where the heck is March disappearing to? I feel like it should still be mid-February at this point.

I shuffled up my playlist for Legacies of the Lost Earth yesterday while working on the update, and this was the first song that popped. It comes up on a lot of my writing playlists, in no small part because of the words. Listen to the words and see what comes.

Prompt Type:  Music Prompt

Prompt for March 17, 2014 – Day 76

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Prompt Type:  Build a scene

Prompt:  Write a short piece about the events leading up to or occurring subsequent to passage below.  Feel free to modify any gender or terminology as needed.

So I am first of all a simple country person, a refugee, and unlearned. I do not know how to provide for the future. But this I know for certain, that before I was brought low, I was like a stone lying deep in the mud. Then he who is powerful came and in his mercy pulled me out, and lifted me up and placed me on the very top of the wall. That is why I must shout aloud in return to the Lord for such great good deeds of his, here and now and forever, which the human mind cannot measure.

Prompt for March 14, 2014 – Day 73

Happy Friday, folks!

Time for another prompt.

Prompt Type: Character History

Prompt: Take the main character from your current project (if you have multiple projects or multiple mains, pick the one you feel like you know the least about right now) and imagine what they were doing twenty years ago. Write a scene set in that time period and see where it takes you.

With any luck, you may be able to incorporate what you’ve just learned about your character in your current project.
