Another Monday, another work week–and another prompt.

Prompt:  Come up with a character who might have the following array of items in a purse, backpack, their trunk, etc–then write a scene in which they use some (or all) of these items to save the day.

Prompt for February 7, 2014 – Day 38

Opening ceremonies for the Sochi Olympics today.  Some folks are not really excited to see the opening ceremonies, but my mom and I are stoked (we’re both into Russian history).

Prompt Type: Quotation

Prompt:  Write a scene inspired by the following quote.  It could be set in the time period when the quote was spoken, could involve the quote itself, or could simply be inspired by the theme of the quote.

The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.

Competition begins in Sochi today, though the opening ceremonies are tomorrow.  I’m rather excited–are you?

Two more days until the Opening Ceremonies of the Sochi Olympics.  Totally excited.

Today’s prompt recalls the last Olympic Games – Summer in London 2012.  Folks who watched the games and the ceremonies may recognize it.

Prompt for February 3, 2014 – Day 34

Another Monday, but this week’s special — the Sochi Olympics start this week!  I’m from a family that adores the Olympics and I’m just as excited this year as I’ve been in past years.  The Winter Olympics are my favorite and sometimes–sometimes–I think every four years just isn’t enough.

Today’s prompt is another using Kim Freimoeller’s Inspiration Dice.
